연구소개

Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine Laboratory (SCRM Lab)

 

My research interests are; how we can develop the technique of stem cell differentiation; what are the mechanisms of neurogenic differentiation in human mesenchymal stem cells. And finally, we want to find out the therapeutic effects of transplantation on neurological disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, hearing impairment, ischemic spinal cord injury, etc. We tried to regenerate the inner ear cells from animal models and recover the hearing ability. In addition, we focused on the Wnt signaling in mesenchymal stem cells after neurogenic differentiation and figured out that Wnt signaling plays a key role in controlling stem cell fate, including differentiation. Recently, we study the diverse mechanisms of stem cell exosome in Parkinson’s disease in vitro such as apoptosis, ER stress, and autophagy.​
