Notification of foreign language/comprehensive examination and exemption application in the first half of 2023

The first half of 2023 general graduate school foreign language/comprehensive examination and exemption plan will be announced as follows

** Please check the eligibility requirements and related documents and submit within the deadline **

1. Application for exemption of examination

Required documents: Application form, Excel file, supporting documents (required if based on thesis achievement)

Submission period: 2023. 1. 5. (Thu) ~ 1. 11. (Wed) until 15:00

Place of submission: Hwasun Convergence Research Building M2, Room 104, Graduate School Administration Office

2. Test application

Required documents: Application

Submission period: 2023. 1. 5. (Thu) ~ 1. 11. (Wed) until 15:00

Place of submission: Hwasun Convergence Research Building M2, Room 104, Graduate School Administration Office

※ The test schedule is in the plan attached, but the exact schedule will be announced at a later date (not individually announced)

※ You may send the application documents by e-mail (A5012@jnu.ac.kr), but if the applicant is omitted after sending it only by e-mail, the applicant is solely responsible.

***Notes on filling out the foreign language exam application***

According to the medical science department bylaws, Koreans take the exam in English, and foreigners take the Korean exam.

According to the bylaws, the qualification conditions are those who have completed at least 1 semester and have acquired at least 9 credits at the same time

***Notes on filling out the Comprehensive Exam Application Form***

1. Be sure to check the qualifications

2. Must list the subject and the responsible professor (by semester).

3. Only compulsory courses can be applied for.

4. When writing subjects, write both Korean and English titles

5. Prospective Ph.D. graduates must choose 2 compulsory courses in the corresponding track.

e.g.: First subject name: Biochemistry (Young-kook Kim/ 1st semester, 2018)

***Notes on filling out the exemption application***

After checking the sheet related to the exemption conditions for foreign language and comprehensive examination exemption application (Excel file), fill out the Excel file and submit it by e-mail.

When applying for exemption based on thesis achievement, submit along with the thesis (PDF file) (Additional submissions are also required by email)
